The Miss Carroll County Scholarship Organization is solely run by volunteers who believe in empowering young women and equipping them with the resources and life skills that will prepare them to become the next generation of leaders.

  • Hannah Brewer Curtright - Miss Maryland 2016

    President & Executive Director

    Hannah Curtright

    Hannah has held the titles of Miss Maryland Teen USA 2013 (Top 15 at Miss Teen USA) and Miss Maryland in 2016. Hannah placed in the Top 7 and won the Preliminary Swimsuit Award at the 2017 Miss America Competition. After her year of service as Miss Maryland, Hannah earned a "Media" position as a character performer at Walt Disney World, where she and her friend "Cinderella" appeared on several national Walt Disney World Commercials and Campaigns.

    Heidi Brewer

    Heidi has her Master’s Degree in school administration, and for the past 23 years she has served as a “Gifted and Talented Program” educator, receiving her certification from John’s Hopkins University. Heidi has been nominated for Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the past five years consecutively, and she has also helped write curriculum for the Carroll County Public School System.

    Patricia Hill

    Patty is an Instructional Mathematics Specialist for Carroll County Public Schools specializing in special education. Patty holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Management and Elementary Education along with a certification in teaching English Language Learners. She has been helping students develop a deep understanding of math concepts for 28 years.

  • Brad Bauhof - Bauhof Legal

    Brad Bauhof

    Brad is an experienced trial attorney with 30 years of experience, who has appeared in every jurisdiction in the State of Maryland. He is also the founder of Bauhof Legal and is currently the President of the Carroll County Bar Association. Additionally, Brad serves on the strategic, tactical team for Global Risk International, which provides clients with expertise in the Security field, specializing in Anti-Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism.

    Kathleen Masek Heinle

    Kathleen held the title of Miss Maryland 2017 and qualified as a Women in Business Scholarship finalist at the 2018 Miss America Competition. She has since obtained her Maryland realtors license and is represented by Monument Sothebvs International Realty, and manages all Operations and Marketing with Encore Detailing and Collectors Car Corral in Reisterstown, Maryland.

    Cara Davidson

    Cara has built a 17-year career as a Relationship Manager with Alarm Connections based out of West Chester, PA. Cara places a strong focus on building relationships with partners, driving strong engagement and improving the overall customer experience. Additionally, she graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial Behavior.

    Allison LaForce

    Allison is no stranger to the Miss Maryland Organization! She was Miss Maryland’s Outstanding Teen 2016. Allison recently graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Miami, and she currently holds the role of Jr. People Development Business Partner with BHG Financial. Throughout Allison’s time at UM, she pursued minors in dance, art and biology in addition to her dedication to UM athletics a Sunsations Dancer. As a four year member of the official dance team, she was given the tremendous honor to hold the position of UM Sunsations Captain her senior year.

    Lauren Hill

    Lauren is former local titleholder in the Miss Maryland Organization, and held the titles of Miss Free State 2017 and Miss Preston Fest 2018 before moving to Orlando, Florida to participate in the Disney College Program. Lauren now resides in Kissimmee, Florida and is a recent graduate of University of Maryland Global Campus. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and now attends Liberty University where she is pursuing her Master's degree in Elementary Education.

    Steve Wantz

    Stephen Wantz recently completed his second term as County Commissioner, District 1. During his term as Commissioner, Steve represented Carroll County on the Governors Emergency Management Advisory Council (GEMAC), University of Maryland Shock Trauma Board of Visitors, Baltimore Metro Council Chair (BMC) and the Board of the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) and its legislative committee. He has been a member of the Pleasant Valley Community Volunteer Fire Department since 1976 and served the company in many leadership roles including Chief of the Fire Department and Past President of the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association (CCVESA).

    Joi Bannister

    Joi has been involved in pageantry for over 25 years as a participant, titleholder, judge, and panelist. Joi also has an extensive performing arts background, and has danced professionally for the Walt Disney World Company. She currently is the CEO of Joyful Signing, LLC which provides interpreting and translating consulting to high profile clients nationwide.

    With a focus on supporting the Deaf Community, her company has sponsored performing arts interpreting and consulting for the Miss District of Columbia Competition to ensure the event was accessible and inclusive. Joi now resides in southern Maryland, with her husband, son and daughter.
