The Role of Miss America

The public perception of Miss America is often that it’s a one-night telecast, but in reality it’s so much more. This unique program is an exciting opportunity for women to earn scholarships, grow their networks, learn valuable life and career skills, and make a difference in their communities.

Change Maker

Miss Carroll County and Miss Mount Airy work as Brand Ambassadors of the Miss Carroll County Scholarship Organization to develop goals and execute on tactics to advance their chosen Community Service Initiatives, setting metrics and developing partnerships which will show positive results at the end of their year of service.
As such, public speaking is an essential role of Miss Carroll County and Miss Mount Airy. Each young lady researches and prepares speeches to deliver in front of diverse range of audiences. Additionally, they speak with the media as local representatives of the Miss America Opportunity with sponsors and partners, students and corporate executives.
